Lanka IOC to open 50 new fuel stations (Video)
Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera announced that the registration to obtain the National Fuel Permit or QR code, which was temporarily stopped, has resumed.

The new registrations for the National Fuel Permit were suspended for the past 48 hours due to an update of the systems.

Meanwhile, the minister mentioned earlier that the fuel quota related to this week will be automatically updated today.

In the meantime, Lanka I.O.C Managing Director Manoj Gupta said that permission was granted to establish 50 new fuel stations.

In an inquiry by the Hiru news section, he said that he hopes to open these filling stations in the near future.

Currently, I.O.C. has 211 fuel stations.

There is a slight increase in the price of crude oil in the world market.
